    I made an extract batch 4 gallons today but only used 2 kg of extract instead of 2.5 kg... i threw in the yeast about 2 hours ago ... could i boil up .5kg of dme and bung it in once cooled or am i jsut going to have a 3.? % beer ?:eek:

    I'd leave it, personally. If you're going to go ahead, I'd let the extra solution cool before adding it in. Use the minimum amount of water. You might not get an accurate gravity reading afterwards, though.

    i let it as is and its working away ....smells nice and hoppy...maybe not the most balanced of beers but what harm.
