saorview but no freeview problem

    :(I have just got a new samsung 6300, 40in TV. I had Irish channels via an aerial and uk free channels via a satalite dish. These are both connected to a box / reciever in the attic and a coax cable then connects to the TV with a small remote reciever thingy which is placed on the tv(This was used with a seperate remote from the TV remote to change the UK channels on the old TV) The new TV has saorview built in and tunes in no problem so I have all the Irish Channels but THE PROBLEM is
    I CAN'T TUNE IN THE UK CHANNELS. I feel that there is something basic I am omitting can anyone help.
