A New York City policeman has been arrested for an alleged plot to kidnap women, rape and torture them and then cook and eat their body parts.
Gilberto Valle is being held in custody without bail on charges that include kidnapping conspiracy and unauthorised use of law enforcement databases.
The authorities were alerted by the suspect's estranged wife.
No women were hurt, but the 28-year-old used police records to gather data on potential victims, officials alleged.

Always bizarre to read cases like this where a potential victim is talked about / treated like a piece of meat, nothing else.

Sociopathic behaviour with no connection to other humans other than selfish reasons. The worst part about this story is how he had such easy access to the potential victim's info and was willing to use it to do horrible things to them.

Kind of reminds me of Albert Fish, who used to kidnap and eat kids. Though that guy was 100 times more sexually derranged than these guys.

That would've been a horrible end for that woman had they gone ahead with it. Being their first time doing it, it would have been a very slow, sloppy and painful death for her.

I know it's not the most shocking part of the piece but It's crazy how low of a value a human life is worth by some people. For only 5 grand someone was prepared to kidnap a women knowing that unspeakable things were going to happen to her. It's hard for me to wrap my head around that.
