Difficulty changing down gears..

I thought this was a bit odd. The gears on one of the Ford Transits have been a bit stubborn, but only when changing down the gears. Going up gears is fine. I'm not sure if it's my imagination too, but it seems to be most stubborn say after driving without changing gears for a while and then down gearing, say coming off a motorway approaching a roundabout.

Any ideas what this could be and what might be involved for a resolution? One guy recommended Xado treatment

This seemed to only happen recently after replacing the front discs, bearings and a bushing. Could it be related to this at all and would disc and gear wear have much to do with how the van is driven and could such problems occur within only a few hundred miles of having no signs of such problems before?

    Any feedback appreciated!

Is it when changing down from any gear, or is it just gears on one side of the gearbox?

I'm pretty sure it's any gear but I'll have to double check that now but take it that it's any gear for now :)
