Does anyone know if/where the extended U.S cut of The Shining is being released in Ireland?

Is that definitely the US cut? I heard they were only doing some classic showings for Halloween and to tie in with the documentary that's being released.

Cool. I've only seen it the once, and wouldn't mind catching it on the big screen.

One of my favourite films. Can't wait to see it on the big screen.

Although I really think the UK version is better, less drawn out. But maybe that's because I'm so used to it that the additional scenes in the US version seem distracting.

Slightly OT but does anyone know if there's any rumours of BD of this is getting a rerelease? I was just checking around on prices for the current BD edition and atm it seems relatively high priced / hard to get for what I'd imagine is generally a fairly common title.

All this talk about US cuts etc got me thinking that maybe they're planning another BD after this theatrical run and are phasing out the current version atm. Anyone got any info on this? Thanks.
