Hi... Could anybody help me with a query? We've 2 tv's downstairs. Both connected to Sky+. One directly to sky+ box and other connected through 'eye'. My question is can we install any channels that are coming in through the dish directly into tv so that when somebody is watching sky the other tv can have something different on. Since analogue went off we've blank screen unless Sky is on (then when it is on its the same thing in both rooms which isn't a good thing when there's 6 people to be kept happy). Just wondering if there's anyway around it before purchasing Saorview or the multi-room from Sky (could do without having to buy either).

Any help would be greatly appreciated or even just a no it can't be done would put the matter to bed!

    Thanks :0)

Unfortunately with sky you can only output one channel at a time, sky+ can tune two at once but only one is available to view.

Plugging the dish directly into your tv won't give you any channels,a cheap fta box or even a 2nd hand skybox from the likes of adverts.ie would do the trick.Be aware that you won't get Irish tv on them but there's not a whole lot worth watching on Irish tv anyway. If you want UK tv along with Irish tv then go for a combi box, remember you need an aerial for the saorview channels.
