    Hi there everbody,
So with both anolugue systems switched off and a presumably power boost to the N.I. transmitters, what are my chances of getting a freeview reception, I am located just south of Tullamore but I am in an elevated area.
What aerial and amplification equipment would any of you recommend.
I have in a previous life worked as a satellite and rte arerial installer but never dabbled with the bbc, it was never really an option down here before but maybe it might be now, any ideas

A guy in Dunlavin told me he had perfect N.I. analogue and good freeview reception with a colour king aerial with no amp pointed towards Monaghan area!!.

You'd probably require a high gain aerial with amp pointed towards Divis or Brougher Mt to get reception that far south. Hard to know without familiarity of the area though.

I'm getting good reception (so far) of the BBC and Utv C4 C5 muxes. Have the fourSeven itv4 SkySports one on ch 29 I think but it's mostly unwatchable. I'm located between Tullamore and Birr. I wouldn't recommend putting up a "BBC" aerial and amp but anyone from ere north that still have thèm up its worth a try.

I would make an educated guess that a high gain group A aerial pointed towards Brougher Mountain in Fermanagh is your best bet. I would try get it as elevated as possible. Id try maybe a variable gain masthead amp too if no joy first time round.

Let me know how you get on if you decide to experiment!:D
