A little more insight and an opinion from yourself would be nice.

Of course it'd change me. I'd love to be a major philantropist. D'uh!

You're from Cavan so I'd imagine you would survive on €3.50 for a month.

There is a lot I could do with more money that I think would be beneficial to me and my family, which would probably make things better, so I'd be happier and more fullfilled, so therefore yes, I do think it would change me.

The type of thing I'm talking about would be counselling and other therapies for myself, supports for my son with special needs, college for both myself and my husband, being able to afford nights out as a couple, days out as a family, extra curricular activities for kids etc...
I'd love to travel - something that I don't think I'll ever feel content until I do.
I'd love to help out in third world countries.

Oh there's loads I'd love to do that I think would make me a more whole, fullfilled, happier person, and money would be able to make it all happen.

    .

Not having a go at you, but why third world countries? There are plenty in need right on your doorstep.

A backpack full of homemade sambos, big flask of tea and some paper cups. You could make a difference to a few homeless peoples evening with a bite to eat and a hot drink!

Oh I do volunteer work here in Ireland when I can too.

Money would change me. If I won the lotto I'm sure I'd become a miserable sod who wouldn't trust anyone. In saying that I'd probably go mental with the money and buy everything I'd ever wanted.

    Hey flutterfly,

After reading your christening posts yesterday, I now fully expect you to reply to threads in the lyrics of Nine Inch Nails, the Smashing Pumpkins and other musicians of a similar caliber.

    Please amend your post accordingly.

    Kind regards,
    me

I'd stay up late every night playing xbox and trolling on xbox live. I'd sleep in to 1. I'd probably get a bit bored after a while and become an alcoholic.

I think money would change everyone.

For me - able to pay off my mortgage, financial security, option to work part-time or retrain for a new career, able to help my family financially etc.

I think the financial freedom and ability to travel, socialise etc without budgeting would make me happier.

Ha!! Well, em, that might be a tad too much effort...
How's about you just sing my words to the tune of whatever song you feel if appropriate? :)

This is literally the only song that is coming to my mind right now of any relevance! -

Your love gives me such a thrill,
But your love don't pay my bills,
    I need money (that's what I want)
    That's what I want (that's what I want)
    That's what I want (that's what I want)
    That's what I want (that's what I want)

    Done!

For the record, I don't think the money would change me. I have seen guys that got nice chunks of money for various reasons and they became tools.

Like shopaholic said, it would make me happier, but I would stay in work etc. and live frugally.

You don't need money to do that, you could easily do it on the dole

It'd change me in some ways, I'd buy all the stuff I don't buy now. Personality wise it wouldn't, I'd still live exactly the way I do. Just I'd have loads of great stuff.

Can you be sure of this, even though you haven't become "rich" yet

I think money would change Anyone and everyone. Some for the better, some for the worse and some just change them, neither good nor bad.

Also depends on the amounts involved.

It would surely change me but how I'm not sure. I'd hope I'd be a lot more relaxed etc though I'm pretty relaxed now as it is

I think it would personally make me less grateful for what I would have
