RTEjr - blank screen before planned close?

At the moment (18:39) RTEjr is showing a blank screen even though it is scheduled to show programming until 18:45. I've noticed this a good few times before when flicking through the Saorview channels. Any reasons for this?

From posts I've seen here before, RTE seem to lash a load of programmes on the jr channel and let them play through. For example, a show could be scheduled for 10 minutes and only run for 9:20, this excess time could build up and there would be time left over at the end. Would also account for the times in the EPG being off
