Any cheap way to make calls from Irish mobile to Canada landline?

    Hi

The reason I ask this antediluvian question is that my broadband is pretty crap and intermittent so skype is painful to use and I have no access to landline. I haven't used a call card for years but I remember that calls from mobiles were tricky - is that still the case?

    thanks

Try Tesco Mobile. Their RTG rates are working for me.

13434.ie i think is 1c a min to landline and I think Lycamobile is also 1c a min to landline.

13434 is definitely the way to go.

The access number for mobiles is 01-6850850 so if you have free local minutes on your irish mobile package, you will pay 6c to setup the call and 1c per minute. USA mobiles cost 0.5c per minute ... Canada mobiles might be the same.

If you just want to go straight from a mobile without any extra dialing, Tesco is the job!

0.01 per min to Canada, 0.02 per min to the USA.

i rang an australian mobile yesterday from my mobile with meteor and it only cost 15 cent a minute, i would imagine a landline would be cheaper again

Im not affiliated with meteor, just a happy customer :)

You could use a Lycamobile SIM. Canada landline and mobile calls are 1c per min. Also online top-ups (from €5) are doubled so real cost could be 0.5 cent per min.
