A client has tried to reclaim Corporation Tax with Revenue but is outside the 4 year deadline to claim refunds. Does anyone know if there is any way around this legislation?

The link to the relevant legislation is at the bottom here.

There is one very small exception, but i highly doubt it applies to your client

    Kenny,
It still states that you have to be in 4 year rule. This company is now closed, and has overpaid CT. The new legislation seems to state that it could offset. But there is nothing to offset against. It is a substantial amount of money

Hence, it's now unclaimable - sorry. Not the news you wanted i'm sure
