Is there a way to transfer more than €20,000 to another account online? If not what are the in-branch alternatives?

    Hi lamaq,

Thanks for your query. As the €20,000 transfer limit to a domestic account is a daily limit you would have to split the payment up over 2 or more days.

If your transfer is going to another Bank of Ireland account, this can be done in your branch, you are only limited by the amount of funds available in your account. There isn't currently an option to transfer to another non-BoI domestic account in a branch.

    Thanks
    Pat

Thanks Pat, so assuming it was to another domestic account the only option is a bank draft or are there other options available?

    Hi lamaq,

You are correct the only other option available under the circumstances that you mentioned would be a bank draft.

    Thanks

    Pat
