06 focus aux pre wired?

My cousin has a 1.6 diesel focus 2006 with no aux port for the radio and her friend has the same car but has the aux port so I'm just wonderin is it ore wired for aux cau if it is I could pop a hole and run the wire sort her out thanks for any help

You need to buy a kit, like this:

Apparently some of them have the wiring loom already there, behind the glove box. just needs to be plugged in.

Any other way around it or is it a special connector on it?

On the pre facelift MK2 it's in the glovebox (even in the ST ) but in the post facelift it can be on the stereo or under the armrest, again as said there is a cable you can buy direct from ford (can't link it atm as im at work) but if nobody else links it i will later

this indeed is a mysterious aspect of the car, EXPECIALLY seeing as the button is there, the wires seem to be there so all thats really missing is just the wee socket. I looked behind the glovebox and theres heaps of wires there seemingly coming from the radio but are just hanging there unconnected to anything.

I have an August 2007 Focus, with the new post facelift radio but old pre facelift exterior. It might be iphone/ usb mp3 compatible but not even the local main dealership had a clue.

Anyhow, I bought a cable from the internet, ripped off the front of the dash, pulled out the large plug of wires that was already there connected to the back of the radio (CD 6000 I think) and plugged in the little cable i bought.
Now I have aux in - and i simply pulled the cable which in my case has a 3.5mm plug on the end of it through the side of the dash rather than mount a socket.

Of the whole operation getting the dash removed without banjaxing it was the tricky bit, and it does bend alarmingly.

It'd be useful of someone could post a link to how to take off the panels around the radio easily and safely. And if someone knew which of the random cables behind the glovebox might be useful as an aux in OR knows of a connector that you can connect to those cables, then that'd be useful too!

I mounted it on the dash by building an aux in into a spare blanking plate and hooked it up to the aux in. A very clean solution.

Support this with some brodit clips. I have some spare blanking plates and parts for the aux in if your are interested. PM me.
