    Hi there,

Can anyone recommend a reliable minicab company to get me from heathrow to London on Friday evening? There are plenty on the web but from past experience some are not reliable.

    Thanks,

    Gar

Just as a tip, there is the tube to take you into the city.

Or anywhere else in London for less than a taxi's minimum fare.

I know guys but I'm stuck for time Friday night. I land about 8:15 and have to be in islington before 9. Usually I get the tube...

If you have the budget for a car service I can recommend www.londonheathrowcars.com - have used them for work trips for a number of years now. Nice cars, clean and reliable. Couple of price options.

If your stuck for time use a black cab as they are only able to use the bus lanes. Mini cabs are not.

I use checker cars. Ring and book, then phone when you land and they will meet you on the departure ramp.

Black cabs go from downstairs and will cost you a minimum of £55 I believe.

It might be quicker to jump on the heathrow express and get a cab at Paddington. Whatever way you do it, you will be hard pressed to make it in 45minutes
