I thought Albertas Run was going to go in the Old Roan but he's not in the decs.

Some good races on this weekend. Old Roan at Aintree, the Persian War at Chepstow.

Interesting runners: Smad Place top weight in the handicap hurdle after the Persian War at Chepstow. Vendor is entered at Aintree same day and Choc can't be two places at once. Tataniano is entered at Chepstow but no booking yet.

Also remembered - there'll be no Henrietta Knight this season. Somersby hasn't changed hands according to the RP yet.

Isn't Somersby going to Mick Channon? Thought I read that he's taking over her string.

I heard that as well. Channon can't get much out of a decent flat horse let alone a decent NH horse.

Don't think Wishful Thinking will be right tomorrow. He's a bit of a second half of the season horse isn't he. What did Hobbs say in his stable tour?

The Old roan is looking like a bit of a puzzle.

I fancy wishful thinking but my concern is around the weight he'll carry giving a stone to For Non Stop. I could see these 2 in the thick of it for sure. I dont know enough about Pacha Du Polder to be putting my faith in him but Nicholls is flying so far this season and he wouldnt be in the race if he didnt think he was capable Im sure. another I can see contending is Hectors choice

I dont fancy Noble Prince at all...I think he is overrated and there is no value in his price, his loss to Blazing Tempo and an aged Big Zeb twice last year says enough..

Im on GAUVAIN tomorrow. Im hoping he's got his mind on the job, he's got decent ability and a change of yard could do him some good. It's a gamble but sure it'll be fun no matter what :D

I'm on For Non Stop in the Old Roan. Decent performance in the Jewson coming third, and not far behind two decent sorts - Cue Card and Al Ferof - last season either.

Kumbeshwar is off a nice weight in the handicap chase in Chepstow tomorrow

I dont know whether that was something that was bandied around as an excuse for a poor start to the season last year for wishful thinking and other hobbs horses..I was sure I heard 1 person say it on TV and then the whole world were saying it, I dont know whether there was any substance behind it. Wishful thinkings form in the winter is pretty good with the exception of last year in the winter.

I would have my concerns all the same as to what state he might be in tomorrow, but if he is in any decent state I think he'll be good enough to be thereabouts in this race. I am hoping the weight wont find him out as a stone to for non stop seems like a lot

Don't think I'll be having a bet in it.

It's interesting that Noble Prince is going across the water at thi stage in the season. On his day he's a quality horse.

The real question today is how many will Ruby have!

I believe it's to do with the ground...they don't want him running on heavy in Ireland so the only option around now was to send him across the pond. I think they have high enough expectations today but are not expecting a win...can't see him in the frame of things..

I'm leaning towards Hectors Choice. He clearly doesn't have the form of the others but I was very keen on him at Cheltenham last year but he was too short and then disappointed. I think he could be a decent graded chaser this season. Will have a tenner on at 11s.

Salubrious, tataniano, wonderful charm & Toby lerone to make up a 4 timer?!?

I wouldn't be a massive fan of the horse but doesn't Noble Prince usually run quite well first time out? I remember him winning well on his seasonal reappearance over hurdles at Naas a few years ago and being very impressive when Carberry rode him in a beginners chase first time out at Punchestown. He might be one that is best caught fresh.

I think Wonderful Charm, Tataniano and A.N other to make a treble.

Really hope Wonderful Charm does the business I've backed it a fair bit!

    It a very open race.

If Wishful Thinking is right then 15/2 is a very good price compared to Noble Prince at 9/2.

For Non Stop may be the way to go!

    It'll be a watching brief.

    Nice gamble landed at Wexford.

Ballinahow lady. Was at least 12/1 earlier in the day, returned @ 5/1.

Gevrey Chambertain is quite weak at Aintree. Odds against on the exchanges

He's going to be an absolute beast. Disappointing that they only jumped 3 hurdles.
