Has anyone come across this, as it seems to be only the CH4 stations like E5 & More4, but when i move to ch141 BBC NI it seems to be ok?
As sometimes the pic freezes, but mostly its a blue screen?

The channels can be viewed ok thru Other Channels section, but not great way of someone that doesnt know that,
Sky tried to fob me off a while ago, by saying its a contractual thing, i then asked him is it on all the ch4 stations, i got nowhere with them a few times.

Today my mum was watching countdown with a girl on from Donegal, but was faced with a dreaded blue screen as it was ok yesterday, but most times i'm there to disconnect the box & wait 5m! for the pic to come back, but she cant do that, so i told her to watch on the HD box as it doesnt happen as often on that box, as she wasnt going to spend time on the phone getting directions from me!

So what is happening? Its a white sky+ box used as a multiroom & not near a phone as i heard that may disrupt it.

Thanks for any help received, as it will help a lot

I have the same problem, seems to happen only in the evening, and for some reason, the HD versions of the channels aren't affected, thankfully. Apparently, and I don't know that I believe this, certain car alarms interfere with the signal for the channel 4 channels? No idea, but that was what Sky told me. I think it was a load of cobblers. It's very frustrating when it happens, especially if it happens during a show you are recording but not watching.

Have you recently purchased a cordless phone. We can't watch C4, E4, more4 on our Sky + White box unless we plug out the phone. Didn't matter where in the house we positioned the base station. Also affects Sony movies and true movies. we can get Channel 4 etc throught the added channel feature, but can't record them.

My grandfather is having the same problem. He doesn't have a phone attached to it, but all the Channel 4 stations are freezing and are having pixilation.

It said on the screen to turn the box off for about 5 mins and then to turn it on again. Still quite blocky and it's affecting only channel 4 stations (C4+1, E4(+1), More4)

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Box: Regular Pace Sky box
    Location: Monaghan

It seems to be ok for now, yes there is a cordless phone in the hallway.
You need to threaten sky that you're gonna leave them to make up for the disruption.

A cordless phone near the box can interfere with the Ch4 group of channels, move the phone away & see if there's an improvement.

The cordless phone is actually in the same room as the sky box now & no problem with the picture yet! as the base station is in the hallway & the box in the next room.

I'll keep an eye out for it the next time it happens.
