Getting my Dog sent to Canada

    Hi All,

I moved to Canada just under 3 months ago with my Girlfriend. I'm looking into getting my dog sent over to me as I have got a job that will allow me bring him to work!

I have looked into what is needed at the canadian end etc and I reckon it can be done.

What I'm wondering is what airlines would be best to use, what the general cost is. Basically I'm wondering how I get the ball rolling with something like this.

    Thanks,

    Garry

This reply might be a bit late and maybe not that relevant but we brought our cat from New Zealand back to Ireland recently. We had to use a pet transport company (to be eligible for the UK quarantine free scheme). I recommend that your first port of call is to talk to some pet transport companies and get quotes. They'll give you info on what's required etc as well. Then you can use that info and see if doing it yourself (if you can, Canada may have similar restrictions as the UK) would be much cheaper.
