    Hi,
I was clearing out my mother's attic when i came across a camera bag that was given to my father a few years ago.In the bag there is two old canon f1 cameras and some cannon lens: fd 200mm 1:2.8,fd 135mm 1:2.8,fd 50mm 1:1.8,
fd 28mm 1:2.8. Also a flash and a charger. Also in the bag a large flash and a charger. the cameras are scraped a bit i dont even know if they work. Anyone know if this kit is any good and worth selling or should it go back in the attic

Looks like good kit, though I'm not a canon user. You are hereby granted 1 new hobby. :D

    Don't bother with camera.
Lenses themselves could make some money.
All of those lenses are good money. Look them up on ebay/adverts/donedeal, so you know what they are worth.

Why would you not bother with the camera.

Seems like a serious bit of kit in its day. Loads more to be learned compared to a modern dslr camera. I think if one gets their head around the laws of film then digital will be child"s play.

I would embrace such a find and buy rolls of film, where every shot counts.

    :)

I don't know about selling. Depending on condition they sound like good kit, I was just suggesting that it's a fantastic find and I was thinking if you had any interest at all it's a phenomenal opportunity with a readymade kit to run a few films through the bodies and see if you like it.

Regardless if you intend to sell or keep it, take photos with in to ensure you don't like taking photos. The photos will also show that the camera works, etc.

Bring them into a camera shop first just to confirm that they're in good working order and don't have fungus inside them.

In good condition you can expect about 100 quid or more for the 200mm, 30-50 each for the rest.

Some day I'd like to find a bag full of nice old lenses.
