Has anyone used these hustler bale feeders? Reckon I could find a definate use for one might be hand to be able to leave it on for the second days feeding espically for a Sunday, just hop up on the tractor and off I go.

Also saw the quad-x as well. Does any one know the difference as the hustler is about €4500 and the quad about a grand less? They both look the same to me.

Well the hustler is imported from New Zealand while the Quad-x is manafactured in the north so that might explain some of the difference...

Quad X are near me and i've had a few dealings with Sean himself. He's a smart lad, started out about fifteen years ago making road legal quads and since the competition from cheap chinese imports decided to go into the manufacture of atv accessories. He's making a good range of stuff, but the tractor and larger accessories are only a recent addition in the last couple of years. Their stuff is quality built and all manufactured locally and he has alot of good engineers and back up guys in the company. Can't honestly tell you about the bale feeder as don't know anyone local who has one, but wouldn't be worried about dealing with them.

Think quad x have a new round bale shredder coming in the market, suitable for wet bales!!??

Pity I didn't them earlier I was around that part of the world for a few days Hols back in the summer, might have gone 4 a closer look. Had looked a the husler one before but wasn't convinced that it could work on Irish bales as the ones in NZ tend to be dryer more like haylage.

One of those would be the job for someone throwing in bales for neighbours on contract... You could get through some amount...

See the way this fella leaves the plastic and net under the bale. Not sure i'd do it that way.

In one if the rustler you tube videos above the driver is feeding out in a field ... Would the cattle not make ****e of the sillage ? Would have thought it'd be trampled and dunged..
If not why isn't every dry tillage field in the countryused to outwinter stock on ?

Well this is an nz product and this is more common way of feeding over there. Land stays dryer for longer

It wasn't the ground I was thinking of . It was the livestock messing the sillage up.... And parts of new Zealand (especially west coast) are wetter than here..

Wouldn't a bale shear be faster and less moving parts?
