FWA would be the lesser of two evils. Whatever you do stay away from satellite it's not even considered to be broadband around here and is known as midband and has it's own special forum.

Your eircom connection would be better than both...

Basically there is no such product if you live outside the urban areas

Have a search through the threads, this discussion comes up every few days.
Satellite gives you nothing of the sort...with the throttling you'll find yourself at less than dialup speeds if you even use your link. Latency is horrendous on satellite, the list goes on.

If you use a sat connection for anything more than a little bit of web browsing then sat is not for you.

A better question would be to ask if there is any way you can speed up your eircom connection...

Indeed! What are you line stats - how far are you from the exchange? Are you using wifi or ethernet.

Ethernet,,, Now could my problem be that i use a long cable down to the hallway and then up to router ..Hardly..
Though that cable got cut in half once, I taped it back together lol
    Wire by wire,
WORKING same as it ever did, Was slow before that too
