A mate of mine is looking to buy a 92 Saab convertible (2ltr)

Planning on having a look at one at the weekend. Is there anything in particular we need to watch for. Common faults?

    Any advice appreciated.

^^^^ My experiences with him would be quite the opposite.

OP, source one in the UK that's been properly looked after during the winters, and / or undersealed to protect against salt erosion. There are some good cars here, but most seem to be overpriced tat.

I have a 1992 Saab - although mine is not a turbo, try going for this type.
Don't be put off by high mileage as these engines can easily go over 300,000.

I work next door to an Indie Saab Garage and have seen some beautiful examples with really high miles.

Check the bottom of the doors for rust, apart from that it'll just do the usual checks.

They are really great cars, good luck.
