Am coming up to the Absolute Hotel early next week from Cork, and haven't driven Cork / Limerick in a few years - what's the best way to approach for it (I'd still be of the tradition of the 'going passed the Regional Hospital and being in city traffic' vintage) - is there an easier route nowadays?

stay on motorway, merge onto north m7 heading Dublin direction, take next exit (29) head towards city, take third exit at tipp road roundabout (childers road), left at parkway, and straight until abbey bridge for absolut on right

Come the whole way in the m20, stay in left hand Lane joining n18. Get off n18 at Dock Road.

Straight in dock road until you get to Arthur's Quay, middle lane around Arthur's Quay take right at traffic lights outside Hunt Museum. Straight down Charlotte quay left at second set off lights, hotel will be on your right.

Depending on the time of day and traffic, you could take the same Ballysimon exit (29) and head towards city... Then head right (4th exit) at Conlans BMW roundabout and across Groody then left (1st exit) at castletroy park and straight in the Dublin road, past the parkway into town with Absolute on the right at the bridge.

Zuroph's route is best. But Childers road could be heaving depending on the time of day.
