I failed my NCT on emissions
I checked my exhaust and there is a hole about a cm from where the backbox starts, would this be the cause ???
If so if i just get the exhaust replace in fast fit would it be ok or could there be aother problem, iv no idea about cars ,
Or anyone know somewhere that owuld sort out this problem

Emmissions are the level of harmful gases that the engine produces, I doubt is has anything to do with where those gases are extracted from in the exhaust backbox system.

It could have everything to do with the hole in your exhaust.

Post your readings from the NCT and perhaps a pic of the hole and the learned lads and lassies in here will give you more advise. It might be possible to weld the hole rather than having to replace the section of the exhaust depending on the extent of it.

Leaking exhaust can cause fail on emissions test.
    Mine failed because of that.
Normally, if they see it is leaking they won't test emissions anyway.
If they do, it will fail anyway.

If it failed for a high lambda reading, its probably an exhaust leak.
