I'm having trouble changing the default language on Microsoft Word 2010. The program us using 'English (US)' and when I try to change it to UK or Ireland, it changes back to US straight away and points out that I've misspelled words like 'realise' or 'honour'.

Can anyone help? I'm using Vista btw.

When you changed the proofing language, did you hit the Set as default button?

Got it now, I had the set as default button selected but it didn't take effect on the document I was currently working on. Looks like it's taking effect on all the new ones.
