    Hi,
for the past few year i have been gambling online....the deposits were somethings big(ie 50-100) but mainly smaller like in 10s or 20s at a time!! I now have a girlfriend and I am afraid if we want to settle down in the next few years(maybe 4/5 years from now) and look for a mortgage that my stupid gambling history will shut us down....this is a major worry for me as my girlfriend is totally unaware i gamble!!!any views or opinions will be greatly appreciated!!!
    thanks

Ok first off - if you have to/want to gamble use cash.

The lenders do not look on gambling activity favorably at all when reviewing your financial history but if its not going to happen for the next 4/5 yeas you should be fine by then. But seriously, cash is king.

As an aside, judging by the tone of panic in your post, is there a chance that the gambling is getting out of hand? you might want to knock it on the head altogether.
