Has anyone got this working yet? Do I need to do anything to turn it on?

I think its only available on boxes that have the new EPG ie Amstrad 890/895 boxes.
I have a Pace HD box thats still on old EPG and on demand does not have this undelete facility.
I see from Skys user forums that they are currently testing the new EPG on Pace and Samsung HD boxes. When they fully release it god knows........

Assuming you have new EPG, nothing needs to be switched on for this to work. Very handy feature!

    Where does this get stored?

AFAIK it doesn't stay there long, as it says it will get deleted after a while to make room for more programmes. & true to fashion i deleted a program & it didn't stay there long as within an hour it was gone.

It's almost certainly just the original recording and is only available until the space is needed by another recording.

The only question really is which algorithm are they using to decide which space to use for new recording.
Do they overwrite recordings deleted furthest in the past ?
Do they record on the largest free block (for defrag) first ?
Do they choose what to overwrite first based on what you record most / series link (v. unlikely)

I'd reckon the more free space you keep the more you can undelete.
