NCT release dates

I've got a week off next month, and I'd like to get the car NCT'd early. However, when I search the NCT system, they are showing no time slots available in Dublin for that week. I know that they release cancelled slots back into the system, but what is the best time of day to get those?

you need to phone them, they are very helpful I find....

I've heard if you call them first thing in the morning on the day itself generally they'll be able to get you in, best bet is to just call though, I've found the people on the phone to be very helpful.
