My daughter has recently got an Android Tablet (Samsung) and she signed up for Sky Go but she thinks it's not available on the Tablet (at least she cant get it working). I think she has it working on her laptop.

Anyone know should it work on the tablet?

It will only work on the tablets sky go approves. So if her Samsung Tablet is not on Sky's list you won't be able to run it

Why would they have an app if it won't work on any Android Tablets?

So yes it doesn't work on any tablet.

So yes it doesn't work on any tablet.

    In addition to that:
We are looking to support Android tablets in the future, but the lack of market penetration and the challenge of securing content rights for this device means that it is not currently on our immediate product release roadmap. We will bring you any updates on this page.

And apparently not on ICS or JB either!!!! You need Gingerbread or Froyo......FFS!!!

    or Rooted devices!!!!

lot's of posts in this thread from XDA:

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1506967

basically, Sky don't believe that Android Tablets have the user base to justify developing the App for Android Tablets!!!!

Just another reason for me to make that phone call to Sky "Customer Services"

Skygo is on ics on selected devices.

Absolutely disgraceful from sky though considering there was 3 million nexus 7's sold and 7 million kindle fires.

    It's sky's typical ios bias.

Thanks for all your replies, I didn't realise that Sky could work on some Tablets and not on others, just assumed once it worked on Android itwould work on all of them.

I was looking at a GoClever tablet for myslef andthought it would be great for Sky Go, may have to rethink now

First check if that tablet is on Sky's list then try to run it.

It's a pity ppl don't read posts/thread.......SkyGo does not work on any Android Tablet......!!!!!

It works on a very limited number of listed Android phones

All the info is in this thread, and other quoted stuff from XDA and Sly themselves.......
