Ford Galaxy 2007 TDI, Rattling Noise from Driver Side

    Good Morning,

I am looking for some advice in relation to my 2007 Ford Galaxy, I have two current issues.

    1) Rattling Noise coming from Driver side.

This issue surfaced maybe 7-8 weeks ago and has been getting worse since, mainly happens when I accelerate and is pretty constant.

Have taken off the engine cover etc. to see if any cables are loose but cannot find anything, had a listen to the various belts when the car is running and does not seem to be coming from around the engine area. It would appear the noise is coming from just behind the storage unit below the steering wheel to the right.

    2) Loss of Power when taking off and conking out on occasion.

When taking off in first gear there is no power and the car sits there even though in some cases my foot is to the floor to try and take off, this is particularly a difficult situation when trying to get through a busy round-a-bout - in some cases the car conks out.

This happens when the engine is warm also and is not limited to early morning when it's been started for the first time.

In some cases this happens when I drop a gear, say from fourth to third when turning a bend and the power completely drops and recovers a few seconds later.

It would appear the turbo is working fine.

Would appreciate any help offered and if any indy mechanic is willing to take a look let me know.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Thanks,
