    Hi all,

I'm trying to purchase a Saorview/FreeSat combi box for my parents (connected to a LNB on our Sky satellite dish, and to our regular terrestrial aerial) but am very confused as to which one to get.

Having trawled through various threads here and satellite.ie here, I'm known the wiser.

Looking at the list of possible functionality:
Can View All Standard Def Channels
Can Show HD Channels on HD TV
    Has 7 Day TV Guide
Can Automatically Update With New Channels
    Has Red Button Interactive Feature
Can Add Non Freesat Channels Manually
Can Record One Channel While Watching Another
    Can Show Future RTE Teletext

Is there any box that does all of the above? Or what's the closest?

    Thanks for any advice!

Saorview/FTA satellite combi receivers here but no 7 day epg for the satellite channels, external hard drive required for recording, no series link, no auto update for the sat channels.

To have the 7 day epg and recording functionality for both services 2 separate receivers (Saorview PVR and Freesat+ receiver) would be the best option for your parents.

Hi I got DIGIHOME SAORVIEW & SATELLITE COMBI BOX from Power city here in Drogheda, but find itv1 hd goes blank and cant get the Sat 7 day epg , lucky if it gives me one hour , apart from that it takes nearly 40mins to setup...
I thought it was a bad box and today I went back to Power city telling them my probs and they gave me a new one, but I find this one is as bad and some times it just stuck and I had to power off to get it back...

You will not get 7 day EPG on satellite, only now and next.

I have another Walker Satfree box the gives me full 7day EPG, so maybe the answer is to buy 2 boxs one for freesat ond the other for Saorview....

Not everyone lives next to the border. UK stations will not work off an aerial for the majority of the country.
