Was talking to a car dealer today and he was telling me something about donedeal and SIMI(Beepbeep.ie) coming together to make some sort of new site. Very interested in this, as it might create a new car website, something which is badly needed at the minute in my opinion. Does anyone know anything about this?

Very interested in this, as it might create a new car website, something which is badly needed at the minute in my opinion.

Does anyone know anything about this?

We have carzone for mostly dealers and donedeal for mostly private sellers. Donedeal would be very stupid to start messing around with moving more to dealer type advertising. Private sellers are their bread and butter.

Carzone did this when autotrader took them over and things didn't exactly work out better for them. They ended up trying to pinch users from donedeal by ringing the various adverts on their site.
