new website for local alerts

    not sure if people are aware, but the council have signed up to mapalerter.com.

    they will txt/email you if there are any local alerts e.g floods, road closures etc.

    seems very hand I must say especially with the winter coming in

    you can also input particular locations e.g your home address, or work address for specific updates.

    Spotted the council twitter account using it during he summer and signed up for it then, it has been ok so far got 1 or 2 alerts for my local area from it. I just hope that the council continue to update it frequently as it is dependent on that happening..
