Difficulty purchasing from Amazon

I'm trying to buy a wide-angle lens adaptor off amazon, however I keep getting told that Amazon does not ship to my address. I've tried both the US Amazon and the UK amazon. Anyone know why this is?

I can probably get the item sent to a friend in the North but I'd be keen to find out why Amazon is being so annoying.

This is Amazon's statement on what can be shipped where, which would seem to include my item, though I appear to be using an outside seller of some sort, who's refusing to ship to Ireland.

I get that sometimes when I get to checkout, I just change to UK address and it still takes about the same amount of days to get here.

Some of the seller's on Amazon dont deliver to Irl, so it's handy to have friend across the pond thats gets a txt now and again telling them to post that parcel over here as fast as you can.

The item in that link is sold by a third party (it says "Dispatched from and sold by BestDealUK." below the price and In Stock message). Many third parties on Amazon don't ship to Ireland, but you don't find out until you get to the checkout. If you can find a version of it that's stocked and shipped by Amazon themselves, they'll ship to Ireland.
