Hi, im off down this end of the country next weekend and want to see if theres a handy way to get around the €10 overnight charge for parking near Jurys. Any locals with tips? A 10 minute walking radius is acceptable, im aware that city centre parking is sh1t at the best of times.

Park on the Ennis Road just passed The Strand hotel. Just passed the Maternity hospital is free parking. 10 Mins of a walk easily. Walk down the river, up the steps, cross the bridge and you are on the Ennis Road. (Free parking ONLY passed the Maternity)

If you arrive on a Saturday then parking is free on a Sunday on the street so park up and throw a ticket or something for the remaining hours of the day and don't worry about it on a Sunday.

If you arrive on the Friday for the whole weekend then just abandon your car, neatly, on the Ennis road and don't worry about it.

The upper end of town and the Strands have free parking on Saturdays or at least they did and I still use it free.

You could always park on the upper end of Henry street just around the corner from the hotel. Id imagine it would following the same parking rules as the area the guys mentioned above and it would be fairly safe. Would that not work?
