Hey, 3 of us girls are coming to Perth in feb and looking for a decent/cheap enough hostel to stay in! Hoping to get a room for ourselves if possible. Can anyone recommend any places?
    Thanks

I stayed in Ocean beach backpackers it was nice enough located in Cottesloe right next to the beach and bus/train stop (took about 20mins to get into the city center).

It cost about $150 per week and they have separate women's dorm room.

But there are a lot more to choose from

Do a search of the forum, it's come up plenty of times before so you'll find recommendations.

Here's a thread on where not to go which is only from last week -

Emporors crown in North Bridge is one of the best.

Britannia on William is good too, if you can get a room.

The Witchs Hat in Northbridge is a decent hostel, it might be a bit dearer than the other hostels but its set in a quiet neighbourhood so you dont have to put up with noise pollution of the nearby clubs. Its only a 10 minute walk away from shops, off licence, clubs and restaurants. I've stayed there last year for a while and am still friends with other backpackers that were there at same time as me. It has a friendly, warm atmosphere and is clean too. :)

ocean beach out in cottosloe is pretty nice
theres one out in fremantle which is really nice and just off the main shopping street and close to the beach but pretty sure you wont find it on hostel world.
if your sticking around for a bit and looking for work in the city the billabong on beaufort st is close to the cbd, northbridge and train station and is pretty nice

    Spinners on Perth is great.
Just book one night in any hostel on arrival so you can move if you don't like it
