Lovely story! And a lovely looking dog too :) One of my dogs is deaf and teaching her sign language was easier than I expected. I've just done the basics but she knows sit, no/leave it, walk and come here (although she's selective about obeying that one). It's definitely not something that should put people off adopting a deaf dog.

If you to see how well deaf dogs can be trained you should come to an agility show when Toomanydgs is running her JRT. It is fabulous to watch!!! She is the only deaf dog competing in Ireland.
