I guess this question relates only to people living in the Border region.

I just got the Saorview Box and everything is fine but I no longer have Channel 4 and UTV. We have a roof aerial and got these 2 channels perfect on analogue. All BBC channels are working on saorview.

The really strange thing is that E4 and ITV2 are coming in perfect on the Saorview Box. Surely it should be possible to get the main C4 and ITV stations !

Try again on wednesday. Some groups of channels may be weaker or blocked before then.

If you get the BBC Freeview channels OK now you'll get the other Freeview channels at DSO Stage 2 next Wed - http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/when_do_i_switch/northernireland/brougher_mountain

If you need analogue UTV & C4 to tide you over until Wednesday, connect a coaxial (aerial) lead between the Saorview box RF/aerial out socket & the tv's aerial in.

BBC is not on Saorview btw, your box is just receiving & decoding the UK Freeview service.

That is strange, since E4 and ITV2 are on the same multiplex at UTV and Ch4.

But if you do a full retune on Wednesday afternoon then you should be in luck. If not, there's something wrong with your box.

    Maybe it's the +1 versions they're getting.

Saorview is specifically set up to receive the Irish digital channels, it's just pure luck that your receiving some of the UK stations. You may even receive all the channels come Wednesday but don't pin your hopes on it, you may need to purchase a freeview box or combo box to receive these channels

The only Freeview channels that can't be decoded by a Saorview box are the HD ones (soon to be all simulcast BBC1, 2, UTV & C4).

The OP here is more than likely getting signal from Brougher Mtn., so will at least get the other SD PSB channels from Wednesday. The commercial services from Brougher will be on lower power than the PSBs & could be subject to co-channel interference from the Divis (Belfast) PSBs on much higher power.

In Letterkenny, the weakest DTT stations are those on the same Mux as Channel 4, for some reason. It's the only mux (from the 5 I get) that breaks up from time to time. However, that's hopefully for only a few days more :)
