Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

PSP repair

    Hey guys :)

Just wondering if anyone can help me with some problems I'm having with a psp-2003 (slim).

It took a rather nasty fall about two years ago and stopped working. I have a psp-3000 so I never bothered trying to repair it properly.

When I turn on the power switch, the power light comes on but nothing else happens. If there's a UMD in the drive it doesn't register it, no sound, nothing on the screen. It also wont turn off unless I hold the power switch up for 5 seconds for a full shut down.
Everything seems fine externally other than the front faceplate being a bit loose.

When I look at the screen at an obtuse angle with a light shining on it, there's a sort of rainbow effect which I don't see on the 3000. I don't know if that's because of leaking or just differences in the screens.

I'd be very grateful if anyone could give me any advice on fixing it or suggest any solutions.
I've tried resetting to factory settings (select + start + square + triangle) but it did nothing.

Barring any DIY repairs, if someone could point me to a good place to get it repaired that'd be grand, though I might be better off buying a new one at that point :p

Thanks in advance for advice :D
