ALF appliance - Orthodontics

Hi, I have had my ALF appliance fitted on my upper set of teeth 1 month ago, can anyone tell me if it is ok to eat with it on. Also, it feels like it is not tight anymore, is this due to perhaps my teeth have moved or because of eating hard food without taking it out?

On a positive note, my breathing is definitely much better as I now breath through my nose but am still waiting on further results.

Any information would be very helpful, thanks :)
