NTC fail, ABS warning light

Just put the car through the NCT and it failed on the ABS warning light, the chap testing it said the light was flashing. I'm a bit confused by this because the only time I seen the ABS light come on is when the ABS is activated on slippy ground or ice which I thought was normal, otherwise the light stays off, am I missing something here, could an ABS fault occur just as the car's being tested and be OK again now?

I must admit I've never driven a car yet, where ABS light would flash during ABS working...
I'm not saying that it's something wrong with your car, but I just never seen anything like that.

I'm not sure myself, I just assumed the light comes on to indicate the the ABS system is activated the same as the TRC light and if there was a fault than the light would stay on constantly?

    no IS200.

Just noticed that it is just a visual re-test so if the ABS light doesn't stay on when the car is started it should pass?

Would the car get confused on a rolling road maybe, and it was the traction control light flashing?

the light should come on when you turn on the ignition and go out again within 5 seconds , before you start the car.

Do you know if the tester had a fault reader connected to the car when this happened?
