This is while trying to download a game from Google Play. Game takes way too long. It's about 30mb and I was sitting right beside the router.

Download manager is reporting socket issues:
    java.net.SocketException: No route to host
Aborting request for download 31: while reading response: java.net.SocketTimeoutException

From the trace it looks like your Wi-Fi is a bit messed up too, can you browse the internet as normal?

I can browse the internet on my laptop fine. But the phone can be a bit iffy. The biggest problem is google play but wifi does disconnect randomly when I'm browsing.

I've googled all over the place for this issue, and hundreds of people have the same problem - files taking ages to download and wifi acting the bollox!

If there's a problem with my router could it be something to do with this (from google help)?

"ensure firewalls aren’t blocking access to ports required for Google Play (TCP and UDP 5228)."

Also, here are some more errors from logcat during the google play download. (my email replaced with xxx :))

Any ideas? Are you thinking hardware problem?

    Thanks for your help.

Looks more like Software issues, have you tried with a different ROM?

    Three different roms!

And this only happens with wifi.

So I've disabled the security & firewall on my router and most of the errors seem to have disappeared, except for these ones which happened when I tried to download a 120mb game from the PLay Store.

Any idea what a "volley timeout error" is? (by the way I've literally searched all of google for info on this with no success).

    Thanks for your help.
