Faulty iPhone 4S

How's it going lads, bought a 4S just under a year ago and it was working fine up until August when, for no apparent reason it just died - wouldn't turn on, wouldn't charge, wouldn't sync with iTunes. Sent it off to be repaired and was given a replacement phone.

That was less than 2 months ago. Now, iPhone was working fine up until last night and now it's gone off the rails. Home button won't work, won't charge, won't connect to iTunes and, bizarrely, won't turn off?? I turn the phone off and it just turns itself back on? Never came across anything like it, the phone is just gone completely haywire. Made a service request today and sending it back it to be repaired/replaced on Monday.

This is the second faulty 4S I've owned in less than a year. I have a feeling even if they replace the product again that one will be faulty too. I bought the phone directly from Apple's website - is there anything I can do to get some kind of a refund or am I stuck with getting repairs/replacements? TBH I don't think it's acceptable that I have to send the product off for repairs this frequently (and any time I do I'm left without a phone for a week or so).
