Just note that you only have to pay a toll for journeys made between junctions 6 and 7.

Yes indeed. Tolls are only owed if you pass between junctions 6 & 7 ( Castleknock/Lucan) If your journeys started and ended north or south of those junctions, you will not owe any tolls. As you approach junctions 6 & 7, there are a lot of signs telling you that a boothless toll system is in operation. (The payment booth was removed several years ago to cut down on traffic back ups of cars waiting to pay.) If you saw none of those signs (and they are very hard to miss) odds are, you did not travel on that stretch of the M50. If you are still not sure, call them up and they will be able to tell you what you owe based on your license plate registration. There is a late fee involved, but they may waive it if you explain to them that you are new to driving in Ireland.

    Hi Dogsbody,

If you have not already phoned us (1890-50-10-50) at the contact centre to resolve your issue then I can look into the details for you from here.

Just PM me with your registration number for the vehicle and for Data Protection requirements please further provide the following:
    - Full name.
    - Address the vehicle is registered to.
    - That you are the vehicle owner.

    Standing by,
    John.

Great, I'm sure they went through it all for you when you called so.

On the offchance, if they didn't present you with a registered account option over the phone, then it is worth a look as it's cheaper rates and automatic billing, let us here at eFlow take care of the hassle and you just continue with your journeys. :)

    For account registration: https://csc.eflow.ie/newaccount/newaccount.aspx

& eFlow website for unregistered payment and queries: www.eflow.ie

Glad to hear you got it sorted anyway Dogsbody!
Drop a line if you need assistance in future. :)

How are foreigners supposed to pay?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 92 ✭✭eFlow: Ciaran

    Hi Our Man in Havana,

Vehicles registered outside of the Republic of Ireland can make payments the exact same way as vehicles registered in Ireland. They can pay online on www.eflow.ie in a payzone outlet or by calling customer service. If you are dialling from the UK or Northern Ireland you can contact us on 0845 30 15 405, and our international number is +800 50 10 50 11.

Vehicles registered outside of the republic of Ireland can also be registered on an account and avail of the benefits of registration.

    Hope that helps,
    Ciaran.
