Any "Low Carb" Doctors in Ireland?

I'm trying to get my T2 diabetic Mum to
try a low carb diet, as the conventional
"eat your carbs and take these drugs"
approach has not worked for her after
    many, many years.

If I can get her interested, the next step
would be to find a doctor who will supervise
her, as it would be dangerous for her to
    proceed on her own.

Does anyone know of a doctor who uses
carb restriction to treat diabetes in this
    country?

If not, I am planning to contact doctors
in my region to ask if they would supervise
    her using this approach.

    Thanks!

Carbs would usually fall into a dietitian's category. It might be a good idea to expand your search to include dietitians?
