Hey! Does anyone know what the procedure is when you are owed a couple of days jobseekers benefit? I went off jobseekers benefit a while back and there were a couple of days after my last collection at the post office, so I am owed for those days. How to I go about claiming what is owed. I haven't been sent anything about it, so I assume it's up to me to go to them and not the other way around. :)

I can't find any Irish references to this question on the net, however I did see people from other countries saying that it is unlikely their owed money will ever be processed. Surely that can't be the case. It's funny that the government have so many forms but nothing when you need something from them!

I started a job last year. I signed off the day I started which was a Monday. I then rang the local welfare office and they posted me a cheque for the amount owed. Or you can just drop a letter in the post explaining the situation.
