Transferring songs from iPod to Laptop

    Hi.

I recently had a virus infect my laptop and it had to be wiped. I had pretty much everything backed up....... except my bloody iTunes Library.

I was just wondering is there any way to transfer my music back from my iPod to my laptop. I shudder at the thought of having to load all those CD's back up, and there were some songs that I had got off friends that I won't be able to get again.

    Cheers.

So you tried doing a simple sync to iTunes ?

Do a google search for this and follow the instructions. Do not plug the ipod to your laptop just yet - read the step by step first, you have to change some settings in itunes first or it will erase the content on the ipod.

I've have to do this twice before, so it definitely works. It doesn't save any playlists you might have made though.

i think it depends on the ipod, pretty sure none of the touch's can be accessed by window's but download sharepod to transfer eveything from the ipod to the laptop and then import to itunes
