Beauvais Shuttle Bus

    Hi Lads,

Quick question, if youre flying from Paris-Beauvais to Dublin, you need to get a shuttle to the airport. Each shuttle leaves 3 hours before your flight does. However the shuttle my friend is due to be getting is at like 6.30am.

Subways only start running at 5.30, so there is a chance she might miss the shuttle.

If she misses it is she screwed? or can she get the next shuttle 15 minutes after? Or does she have to get that specific one, 3 hours before her flight?

    Andrew

Got the shuttle myself not too long ago, and had to get the metro at 5:30 also. Assuming she's not a million miles away she should make it ok!

I remember a sign at the shuttle station saying something along the lines of "We won't leave anyone behind!", I think they put extra buses on if there are too many people there at a specific time. Failing that, she should def be able to get on the next one!

First metro at 5:30? So she has a full hour to get to the shuttle? No matter where she is in Paris, that shouldn't be a problem :)

One more question mate. Is the bus far from the metro station at porte-maillot? and does the bus drop you far from the airport?

just to cover all the bases here.

Not far at all, couple mins walk...you cross a fairly busy road but shouldn't take long

The bus drops you right at the entrance, Beauvais Airport is pretty tiny so not much walking to do once you get there!

You don't have to get the shuttle bus laid on for your flight.

If there is another bus departing up to an hour later you can take that regardless of which flight it connects with. I usually do this, more time to get to the bus station in the morning and less time hanging around the airport.

The bus station in Porte Maillot is only a couple of mins walk from the metro.
Although it is located on a traffic island in the middle of a very busy street. On the left in this image. Give yourself 10 minutes to get there from the metro if you've never been there before.

The bus drops you right outside the terminal door at Beauvais Airport.

IME they never check the flight you're taking - they only want your money! Once there's a bus running, you won't have any problem.
