Thanks for the information. I suppose i'd better get another wireless router. Is there a good one you would recommend?

Nothing wrong with the wireless router its the dongle thats the problem. If you get it to work please let me know how but afaik the 3 version of the E353 is a HiLink version which means its a little router all of its own so its not going to work with any router. There are other versions of the E353 that do work with various 3G routers BUT NOT THE E353 THAT 3IRL SUPPLY!

Just get an older unlocked dongle (vodafone ones aren't locked anyway) shove your 3 SIM in it and check under "Status" > Modem info where you should see the dongle named if its recognised.

btw make sure you have the latest version of the Edimax firmware here I've seen that router with the older firmware that won't connect untill upgraded.

Don't bother with the select country and operator options in the 3G/3.5G setup (they're often wrong) just use the APN 3intenet and AT Dial Script *99# and apply, no other setting required (3G/3.5G is the default not CDMA and should be obvious).
