    I've been looking for a good full suspension trail bike and this has come up on Wiggle with a 55% reduction from the original price;

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/gt-sensor-1-2012/

    it gets some good reviews and looks to me like a bargain at that price.

    Can the knowledgeable people on the forum give me their opinion on it?...

    Cheers :)

    The components are looking good on it. Mostly XT drivetrain with the exception of the cassette and chain, good brakes. Alex rims are usually allright. Suspension is from Fox, so everything is in order there :).

    The weight probably is not on the light side (given it's non butter tubing). I've also no idea about GT frames for AM use.

    For that money with Fox suspension it's a bit hard to go wrong for an AM bike.

    Thanks for the reply. Seems like a good deal so. On one of the reviews they mentioned the weight being 26lbs, is that a good or bad number?

    26lb sounds very light for an AM bike. There are hardtails that would be packing more weight.

    Found another review which puts the weight at 12.8kg or around 28/29lbs, would this be still an ok weight?

    Would you buy it?

    That's still quite light for an AM bike. If I would be into AM/DH I'd could see myself getting one. Currently I'm happy enough on the road with the occasional detour into XC.

    I'm gonna take that as a recommendation and buy it. Cheers for the replies.

    So I ordered the GT on Wiggle, but they weren't able to honour the sale. It took a few emails to get the excuse, which was the bike got damaged in delivery to Wiggle, but I'm sceptical about that.

    Anyway I went for this instead

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=59252

    and it arrived today. I must say I'm very happy with it. Way lighter then my current Giant Hardtail. Actually worked out cheaper too.

    Can't wait to hit Ballyhoura. What do y'all think?

    Just one thing, should the sram x9 rear derailleur be perfectly aligned with the biggest cog? It changes gears fine, and there's no funny noises or anything, but it just looks a little off. Thanks.
