Does anybody know if you can get money from social welfare towards petrol for college? I know about the fuel allowance for heating your home but i heard from different people that you can get a small allowance for petrol as long as you show that you are using it for something as i have to travel 30 miles for college, thanks...

Of course they will, they will also give you lunch money, socializing money along with the clothing allowance and unsocial hours taxi money for getting home after student nights out.
Just pop into your local welfare office and ask for form wtf012345.

If you're on a FAS course you can get travel payments, what college/course are you doing?
